Gregory Watkins was born on January 8, 1949 and lived in New york, New York. He enlisted in the Army and his tour in Vietnam started on January 12, 1968. He was a Private when assigned to the 526th CC&S Co. He was killed in action on April 9, 1968 when his company was attacked by enemy sappers. He was in-country 88 days, Gregory was 19. Gregory Watkins was laid to rest in Long Island National Cemetary, section 2H site 2290 He was awarded the silver star for his bravery during the attack.
